I spent the first part of my career with Fortune 500 technology companies and have also worked with startups, mid-market companies, associations, nonprofits and. faith-based organizations. I've had all sorts of roles from sales and finance, to strategy and marketing, to board member and founder.
What I have noticed was how often leaders fall in love with their WHAT (their cool new solutions) but do NOT focus much on the WHO, the PEOPLE who need to understand and take ACTION for new initiative to be successful.
Implementing a new strategy is a team sport --- whether your team is made of funders or employees or customers or volunteers or partners or suppliers or communities.
Leading people to take an entirely new direction is challenging!
The truth is that even the BEST strategy will fail if people are confused, skeptical or not aligned.

I'm on a mission to equip and energize leaders who are changing the world so they can amplify their impact – faster.
My goal is to serve as a force-multiplier for leaders who are building communities and saving lives. Whether it's accelerating public safety innovation or implementing secure smart cities and autonomous vehicles, building more diversity in the workforce and supplier ecosystems, to readying the workforce of the future, to equipping purpose-led entrepreneurs around the globe to build sustainable businesses and create jobs -- there's so much to do!

With over three decades of experience in corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, and serving the Supplier Diversity community, Ana Maria Lowry and Susan Bailey Schramm created this book to begin a dialogue. The purpose is to:
a) provide a vision for what is possible to achieve with a Trusted Diverse Ecosystem, and
b) invite readers to personally assess the current stage of their own organization's Workforce DEI and Supplier Diversity programs.
They believe a Trusted Diverse Ecosystem is the solution for corporations and government agencies who aspire to foster a "best company to work for" environment, whether in their workplace or as a supplier of products and services.It can provide their organization with a larger pool of talented employees and suppliers. The outcome is the creation of small businesses and jobs.
It starts wtih aligning on a common vision and openly acknowleding the risk. Your personal leadership will be crucial to the success of your strategy. It requires a growth mindset with an intentional plan to drive toward a specific path. Ana Maria and Susan propose that the Maturity Stages of a Trusted Diverse Ecosystem described in this book can serve as your path forward.
I was born in Houston, Texas, and moved around the US with parents who were corporate nomads. This inspired me to be curious and explore the world around me the rest of my life. (I've been to all 50 states in the US, and to five continents!)
After studying management sciences at Duke, I dove into working with global tech companies introducing all sorts of new ways to connect the world. It was inspiring but meant a lot of geeky talk and constant change. And a lot of lessons learned!
About five years ago, I established my own consultancy to help leaders of purpose-led organizations to get results faster when driving high-stakes strategies. Ten percent of all gross revenues of my firm are invested in programs and scholarships to equip purpose-led leaders.
I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister -- and child of God. While I am energized by my work with purpose-led organizations, my true passion is my faith and my family.
